Our Apartments

Colina Club Retirement Village is set in the hills above Calpe (the name Colina Cub means ‘Hill Club’) where the elevated position provides an ideal climate, with low humidity and cooling breezes. The Village comprises the Nursing Home and just 48 apartments in 5 two storey phases arranged around the Swimming Pool and Bowling Green to take full advantage of the spectacular sea views.

The apartments are set into the hillside, so that both the ground and first floor apartments have level access (just one step) from the parking area directly outside. All the access roads and paths are gently sloping with no steps (except into the Swimming Pool) allowing easy access for the less abled to all the Club’s facilities.

Apartments are available on short or long term rental. We also offer Trial Visits so you can come and see what we have to offer. Please contact us here to enquire about apartment availability or to arrange a trial visit.

A range of additional services, such as an English speaking Doctor, physiotherapist, cleaner, hairdresser etc, are available to make your life easier and we can tailor a package to suit your particular requirement at any particular time.

About our Apartments

Each apartment has either a sun patio (first floor) or small terrace (ground floor) with fantastic views over Calpe to the Mediterranean beyond.

Through the patio doors, the ample Living/Dining Room enjoys the same outlook, and can be decorated and furnished to your own taste.

The fully fitted Kitchen comes with an electric hob and oven as standard and can be adapted to meet your exact needs.

There is a choice of one or two double bedrooms, with fitted wardrobes in the traditional Spanish style.

Finally, a fully tiled bathroom with bath or shower and assistance rails fitted as standard. However we do not have full disabled fittings in the short term rental apartments.

Sailing. The closest marinas to Colina Club are in Calpe and Moraira. You can moor your own yacht, take an excursion, hire a boat and skipper or learn to sail yourself. Click here for links.
Tennis. Calpe has a fine Tennis Club with high standard tournaments. Click here for a link.
Walking is very popular on the Costa Blanca, and there are a number of clubs which arrange walks throughout the year. The most famous is the Costa Blanca Walking Club but there are many others who meet and enjoy a stroll in the spectacular mountain scenery and lunch in one of the many cafes or restaurants en route. Click here for links.
Beaches. We are spoilt for choice with the spectacular sandy beaches of Calpe to tiny rocky coves all along the coast, such as Granadella tucked away from the noisier resorts. See our Local Area page for more details.
Shopping. From exclusive boutiques to the famous El Corte Ingles department store, the choices range from vibrant Valencia city to the tiny village of Gata de Gorgos which specialises in cane and basket ware. See our Local Area page for more information.
Social Scene. The popularity of Calpe as a retirement destination for northern Europeans over the last 30 to 40 years means that there are established clubs and groups for every activity. From charitable fund raising with the Rotary Club or local Help organisations, to the University of the Third Age which offers the opportunity to learn about almost anything, for retired people, taught by retired people. See our Links page for more ideas.
