Nursing Home

Put the everyday problems to one side and enjoy your well earned retirement, relax in the sun and relish all the social and sporting activities that this ideal, World Health Organisation rated climate offers.

Moving to, or living in a foreign country, can and often does present problems, especially as we get older.

Here in the Colina Club, every effort is made to provide the solutions to these problems. We have over 15 years of experience in such matters and our Director is highly competent and helpful. She speaks Spanish, English, French and German.

Services to make your life easier and more comfortable

All European Union citizens are eligible to receive a Spanish Medical card, which entitles retired persons to free medications and drugs.
The administration Director and her staff are available to help obtain these cards and residential papers. She is also able to make suggestions in regard to the opening of a local bank account and similar matters.
There is an English speaking doctor available on 24 hour call.
Full 24 hour a day medical care of the highest standard, is provided for all residents in the nursing home by our dedicated professional and qualified nursing staff, who speak Spanish and English.
There is a well equipped physiotherapy room in the nursing home, a lift and a special bathroom designed to permit the nurses to bath and care for the less able.
All rooms in the nursing home are cleaned regularly using eco friendly solutions.

Residents of the nursing home are able to enjoy three healthy meals a day, specially prepared with great care in the nursing home kitchen by our highly regarded chef. The food is wholesome 'family' type cooking, using fresh ingredients. Our chef intentionally prepares her dishes with an international ‘audience’ in mind, so as to suit all tastes. The meals are included in the price of the weekly or monthly charge.
All residents have free access to our 5 English speaking satellite television stations and may privately contract to have their own dish and receiver installed, so that they have a better choice and access to other language channels. The location and size of the dish would be on our direction
Landline telephones with or without broadband access may also be installed at your own expense.

Enjoy your retirement at the Colina Club

There is a three quarter sized bowling green for use by residents (automatic membership) and non-residents alike, which residents may join free of charge and is playable throughout the year.
The heart-shaped swimming pool is free for residents and guests over the age of 30 years of age. It is permanently maintained with great care by our gardener, as are the plants, shrubs, trees, walkways and roads.
The free library can be found by the lounge area and is for the use of all residents. It is open all day and you are provided with comfortable armchairs and sofas on which to sit and read, in case you should not wish to take your chosen book to your room or apartment.
The friendly bar has tables and chairs at which to sit (both inside and outside), where you may relax with your friends and enjoy the magnificent views of the Peñon de Ifach Rock and the Mediterranean sea. The club also organizes ‘club’ nights which include quiz games and darts matches.
There is a regular daily (Monday to Friday) minibus service into Calpe, enabling you to do your shopping, visit the town, the beach or enjoy a quiet coffee, a drink or a meal in one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants there. Equally, you may just wish to soak up the sunshine and ambience on the promenade while people and wave watching, or to meander among the boats coming in and out of the Port. The Port is a fully working fishing Port, as well as being the base for a variety of smaller pleasure boats and sailing dinghys.
Occasional coach trips are organised for residents at cost price to local places of interest, such as to view the almond blossom in springtime in the nearby Jalon Valley, or further afield, to visit the Citadel of Guadalest.
